Commitment to Scholarship AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable. Commitment to College Loyalty From collegiate years on through alumnae involvement, the reason AOIIs continue service is the joy of spending time together and sharing the insights learned from the relationships we build and sustain. Letter from the President Coming into college, I was nervous and searching for a place to call my home away from home. With little to no experience with Greek life, I was drawn to the sisterhood that was showcased by the Panhellenic chapters at OU. Recruitment led me to the doors of AOII on Bid Day in 2021. The next four years were about to be some of the best I have ever experienced. Since joining, I cannot imagine my life without my sisters, who have empowered and inspired me throughout my time in AOII. This is only the beginning of lifetime membership to Alpha Omicron Pi. Being a part of this sisterhood has inspired me to grow as a leader, to push myself in ways I didn’t know were possible, and to form relationships that will always be a part of my life. The women of Alpha Omicron Pi, especially those of Xi Chapter, will forever empower and support me and hold a special place in my heart. Alpha Love and Mine, Hannah Kropp, Xi Chapter President 2023 Stella, Jess, Helen, and Bess became determined that their friendship should last a lifetime. On December 23, 1896, the four climbed the stairs in a small gallery of the old Columbia College Library which led to an old and seldom used room. On January 2, 1897, Alpha Omicron Pi was formally organized at the home of Helen St. Clair.
